David Weekley announces “Partners of Choice” winners

David Weekley Homes, the nation’s largest privately held home builder, has named its 2009 “Partners of Choice” winners for exceptional quality and service.

Suppliers awarded the highest “AA” honor included Masco Builder Cabinet Group, Dow Building Solutions, DuPont Building Innovations and Boise Engineered Wood Products.

This was the fifth consecutive year that Dow was awarded David Weekley’s highest honor. James Hardie received the same recognition.

BMC West, iLevel by Weyerhaeuser, and Simpson Strong-Tie were among those bestowed with an “A” rating for superior quality or service. This was the third year in a row for iLevel’s award.

In a prepared statement, Stan Wilson, BMC West's president and chief operating officer, said: "We know that today's market amplifies our customers' scrutiny of supply chain performance. We are doing more with less, reacting quicker to customer needs, and our goal remains to achieve the exceptional performance necessary to succeed in these unprecedented conditions."

The annual Partner of Choice awards are based on quarterly reviews of suppliers completed by approximately 600 David Weekly employees in every market and from every level of the organization. Headquartered in Houston, David Weekley Homes operates in 14 cities across the United States.
