Continental Building Products reports gains
Herndon, Virginia-based Continental Building Products reported fourth quarter sales of $118 million, up 7.1% from the same quarter last year.
“We are pleased to wrap up 2016 with another strong quarter of financial performance and significant cash flow generation reflecting the strength of our highly efficient, low cost operations,” stated Jay Bachmann, Continental’s president and CEO.
He pointed to a 19% increase in net income and a 28% improvement in earnings per share in the fourth quarter.
For the full year, net sales increased 9.4% to $461.4 million. Net income for the year was $44.0 million, compared to $16.7 million in 2015.
Wallboard volumes increased to 2,560 MMSF for the year ended December 31, 2016, compared to 2,199 MMSF in the prior year.
