Conrad to leave NLBMDA

2/20/2018

Shawn Conrad, president of the National Lumber and Building Materials Dealers Association (NLBMDA), has left the organization just prior to the start of its annual convention. NLBMDA chairman Steve Kelly told HCN that Conrad departed “to pursue other professional interests.”

The Washington, D.C.-based trade group notified its members via e-mail on Monday. The NLBMDA board of directors will discuss Conrad’s position at a meeting on Thursday, at the start of the organization’s three-day convention in Las Vegas.

“We’ll have more information then on the direction we want to go,” Kelly said.

In the interim, Conrad’s duties will be handled by Russell Snyder of SmithBucklin, a trade association management group, according to Kelly.
