Congressman Ted Budd to speak at NLBMDA Spring Meeting
This year's NLBMDA Spring Meeting and Legislative Conference will feature a relative Washington newcomer as one of its featured speakers.
Congressman Ted Budd, who represents North Carolina's 13th Congressional District and is serving his first term in the 115th United States Congress, will address attendees at the Meeting.
Deciding to run after a redistricting opened up North Carolina's 13th District, Budd had never held elected office before, and he brings an outsider's perspective to the capitol.
He is now a member of the Financial Services Committee, which has jurisdiction over housing and lending issues.
Budd grew up working for his family's janitorial and landscaping business, and he is especially concerned with tackling burdensome regulations.
