Coming to Memphis: An all-brick Lowe’s

After two years of trying, Lowe’s finally received permission to build a 186,000-sq.-ft. store in the town of Collierville, Tenn., just outside of Memphis, according to an article in the  Commercial Appeal .

Construction is set to begin immediately, with a projected opening set for the Christmas holiday.

The Lowe's store will be built with mostly brick as per town requirement. The outdoor gardening area will be heavily screened.

Residences in a nearby subdivision opposed the project because of fears that entrances to the property would pour traffic into their neighborhood. New site plans have addressed those concerns.
