Columbia Forest Products names new CEO
Columbia Forest Products has named Greg Pray as the company’s new president and CEO.
The move is effective Jan. 1, 2019. Pray succeeds Brad Thompson as CEO who will remain with the company as an advisor through the first quarter of 2019.
Pray has served with Columbia since 2006, starting as an executive vice-president with Columbia’s flooring division, and then moving to the plywood division as executive vice president of U.S. operations.
Following graduation from the United States Naval Academy, Pray served 5 years in the U.S. Navy as a nuclear engineer. After his naval service, Pray served in various roles for International Paper Company and Nevamar Company while obtaining his MBA in finance and organizational behavior from The University of Texas at Dallas.
