CertainTeed to sponsor HCAC Gala, awards
Building products manufacturer CertainTeed said it will co-sponsor the Hispanic Contractors Association of the Carolinas (HCAC) Gala & Brilliance Awards.
The event celebrates the accomplishments of Hispanic and minority contractors in the Carolinas and is set to take place Aug. 3 at the Historic Royal Bakery Building in Raleigh, N.C.
“CertainTeed acknowledges that many of the people using our products everyday represent the Hispanic community,” said Alex Pecora, director of product management for CertainTeed Roofing. “We support HCAC’s efforts to celebrate and award diversity in the construction industry and are proud to be a Crystal Reception-level sponsor of the gala.”
The gala will feature several notable speakers and awards will be presented to honor companies and individuals dedicated to the long-term success, economic growth and business development of Hispanic and minority-owned construction companies in North and South Carolina.
Awards include Trade Contractor of the Year, Remodeler of the Year, General Contractor of the Year, Associate of the Year, Partner of the Year and Safety Champion. The celebration will also feature live music and entertainment representing various cultures.
Proceeds of the gala will help the HCAC continue its mission to “provide the necessary resources to ensure the continued progress of our members, while promoting the long-term success of Hispanic-owned construction businesses in the Carolinas.”
“We at HCAC are proud to present this year's Gala & Brilliance Awards,” said HCAC Director Lissette Velez. “This event is so important for us because it celebrates diversity and promotes success among our community while it presents opportunities for minority contractors across North and South Carolina.”
HCAC provides members with services in the areas of education, consulting, corporate and advocacy. HCAC's membership includes general contractors, subcontractors, construction workers, vendors and equipment suppliers, and corporations related to the industry.
