CertainTeed is giving away an extreme home makeover

CertainTeed Corporation plans to give a lucky homeowner a $100,000 home makeover -- this time, with energy-efficient attic insulation.

The Living Spaces Home Makeover Contest will award $75,000 worth of building products, including professional installation and a $25,000 tax gross-up payment.

Previously, the contest awarded only the $75,000, and that didn't include the attic insulation.

Now through May 31, the contest is accepting video entries of homeowners talking about their dream exterior and how CertainTeed's products can make it possible.

The most entertaining entry -- CertainTeed suggests a creative story idea or theme -- will be announced as winner around June 15 after being subjected to votes on CertainTeed's Facebook page.

There will be nine runner-up prizes as well, each involving $500 worth of outdoor living gifts.
