CertainTeed partners with Cooper Electric
Electrical distributor will move the Solstice systems in tri-state area.
With the arrival of the first day of spring finally here, Cooper Electric and CertainTeed have announced a new partnership that’s put the sun to use.
Cooper Electric, the Monroe, N.J.-based electrical supplies distributor, is now distributing CertainTeed’s Solstice solar system along with its CT Series and US Series solar modules.
The CT Series and US Series modules are available a la carte or as part of the Solstice system, which includes inverters, mounting and flashing, all backed by a comprehensive warranty from CertainTeed. In addition, Solstice systems are installed by CertainTeed credentialed installers and include a warranty on the professional installation of the system for up to 25 years.
According to Joe Dudas, energy group manager for Cooper Electric, the new arrangement will expand regional access to Solstice and CertainTeed’s solar modules while providing a simple and efficient way for solar installers to purchase the value-added products.
“CertainTeed has a long history of delivering quality building products and one of the strongest warranties in the business backing its solar products,” said Dudas. “We can now ensure that installers servicing our area have a dedicated supply of CertainTeed’s modules and systems. These quality products combined with CertainTeed’s comprehensive warranty will give more mid-Atlantic customers the peace of mind they need to go solar.”
Cooper Electric is a division of Sonepar USA and operates 58 supply and warehouse locations in New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania.
Zachary Easoz, CertainTeed Solar eastern U.S. sales manager said Cooper Electric’s broad presence in the Northeast, along with its solar expertise, and the ability to provide personalized customer service, makes them “an ideal distribution partner.”
Last October CertainTeed partnered with Beacon Roofing subsidiary Allied Solar Products in a distribution agreement.
Based in Malvern, Pa., CertainTeed manufactures exterior and interior building products, including roofing, siding, solar, fence, decking, railing, trim, insulation, drywall and ceilings. The company is a subsidiary of Saint-Gobain.
