In Canada, Lowe's is growing its work force

2/20/2018

Preparing for its busy season, Lowe’s Canada will fill 2,800 positions during the first half of 2017.

Customer traffic increases between the spring and summer seasons, typically from March until September, as they begin ramping up their indoor and outdoor home improvement projects. To serve these shoppers, Lowe’s is hiring new employees to fill seasonal roles its 54 banner stores across Canada, as well as positions at two new stores that are expected to open in Sherwood Park, Alberta, and Southwest London, Ontario, by mid-2017.

Hiring between 35 and 40 seasonal associates per store, Lowe’s is adding customer service associates, cashiers, loaders, stockers, sales specialists and assemblers. Meanwhile, Lowe’s two new stores will create approximately 150 new jobs at each location, as well as 35-40 seasonal roles, Lowe’s said.

The chain will host its annual Regional Hiring Day on Saturday, Feb. 25, between 9 a.m.-4 p.m., at its Lowe's banner stores across Canada. Candidates can also apply online.
