Cameron Ashley is open for business in Phoenix
Building products distributor Cameron Ashley has opened its latest location in Phoenix, Ariz.
The new location will serve customers in Phoenix, Tucson, Prescott, Flagstaff, and the surrounding local markets.
The distribution center will provide sales, marketing, merchandising, and local inventory support for continued growth in roofing, insulation, and other building materials in a brand-new market for Cameron Ashley.
“We are pleased to begin expanding our service westward to Phoenix and its surrounding markets,” said Regional Vice President Aaron Davis. “In addition to new opportunities, this will also allow us to increase our service to our current customers located in the Southwest. Having substantial on-ground inventory close to our customers, while supporting their sell through of our products with sales, marketing, and merchandising is a win-win situation.”
On hand for the opening of Cameron Ashley's Phoenix location were Distribution center manager Joe Nardi, chairman Chris Sznewajs, territory sales manager Chris Gaither, and driver David Boland.
Key roofing suppliers stocked at this location will include TAMKO, CertainTeed, and Owens Corning. A full line of Knauf Insulation will also be carried. Other in-stock products include Lomanco Ventilation, Owens Corning Titanium brand synthetic underlayment, Armstrong Ceiling tile, wallboard and accessory products. Future product expansion will be based on customer needs in the area.

Based in Greenville, S.C., Cameron Ashley operates a network of 35 stocking distribution centers with a total storage footprint of more than 4 million square feet serving most of the continental United States. The company serves over 5,000 customers in the lumber and building materials industry.
2019 has been a busy year for the company since transitioning from Guardian Building Products to the Cameron Ashley brand.
In addition to acquiring Warrior Building Products in January, the company has opened several new locations including distribution centers in Rocky, N.C. and Cleveland, Ohio. In February, the company opened another location in Columbia, S.C.
