Builders FirstSource acquires Bianchi & Company
Pro dealer giant Builders FirstSource has acquired the assets of Bianchi & Company, Inc. (Bianchi), located in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Bianchi is a millwork supplier and installer in the Carolina markets supplying new interior trim packages and hardware. According to BFS, the company has built a strong reputation for high quality, superior craftsmanship and exceptional customer service.
Bianchi has annual revenue of approximately $30 million. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
This move continues to strengthen Builders FirstSource's service offerings to builders, contractors and remodelers.
Value-added product offerings from Bianchi include interior and exterior doors, crown moldings, open stair rail, chair rail, wainscoting, commercial hollow metal frames and doors and other custom millwork installation.
In addition to fitting homes, the company supplies installed millwork to multi-family residential apartments, condominiums and senior living facilities.
“I am very happy to welcome Scott Bianchi and all of his employees to Builders FirstSource. The addition of installed millwork represents another vertically-integrated, value-added service capability that we can provide to our customers and potentially expand across other markets,” said Chad Crow, CEO of Builders FirstSource.
Crow noted that the acquisition directly aligns with Builder FirstSource’s next-generation growth strategy to more closely partner and integrate with customers and streamline the construction process. Bianchi is the fifth tuck-in acquisition for Builders FirstSource in the last 6 months.
Combined, the acquired companies provide more than $200 million in annual value-added net sales, Crow said.
Scott Bianchi, founder and president of Bianchi & Company, will maintain his current responsibilities in running the business.
“We have always been passionate about providing exceptional service as the foundation for building successful long-term relationships. We partner with our clients to understand their ideas and our experienced team offers best-in-class service and quality. I’m excited to bring our team’s capabilities to Builders FirstSource,” Bianchi said.
Based in Dallas, Texas, Builders FirstSource operates about 400 locations in 40 states, including a market presence in 77 of the top 100 metro markets.
