Briggs & Stratton unveils new SnowShredder serrated auger

The Briggs & Stratton Power Products Group has announced its  new SnowShredder serrated auger on single-stage snow blowers, which allows the user to clear snow and ice. 

The Briggs & Stratton Power Products Group has announced its  new SnowShredder serrated auger on single-stage snow blowers, which allows the user to clear snow and ice. 

“Customers expect innovation and top performance in products from Briggs & Stratton and will find both in single-stage snow blowers with the new SnowShredder serrated auger,” said Troy Blewett, director of dealer channel marketing for Briggs & Stratton Power Products Group. “Unlike single-stage units that only clear light snowfall, or dual-stage snow blowers that can be difficult to maneuver, the innovative SnowShredder auger allows users to quickly power through tough ice and heavy-compacted snow all with the easy maneuverability of a single-stage snow blower.”

The SnowShredder auger system combines 14-welded, serrated steel surfaces with reinforced rubber paddles to chop, grind and clear compacted snow, ice and end-of-driveway snow build-up. The self-propelled drive system clears down to the pavement and moves the snow blower forward. 

This new feature is available on two models, the 922EXD and the 1222EE, in Snapper, Simplicity branded single-stage snow blowers. The 922EXD model is also available under the Briggs & Stratton brand.
