BMC facility builds on distribution in Colorado
Boise, Idaho-based BMC expanded its lumber and building materials distribution capabilities with the leased acquisition of a property in Denver.
“This property substantially expands our capacity for lumber and building materials in one facility that is strategically located,” said Peter Alexander, CEO of BMC. “The size and location of the lumberyard was a critical factor in our decision as it is very scalable, and we can easily meet the demand for our customers on time and on budget.”
The property, located on 10 acres at 1355 West 52nd Ave., will serve as the hub and central point of all distribution for lumber and building materials for Colorado. The property is located on and served by Rio Grande Rail and easily accessible by truck, according to the company.
Doug Whiting, market manager for Colorado, will oversee the lumber and distribution center. The Denver facility will serve all of Colorado as BMC focuses on production and custom home builders and repair and remodel contractors.
