Benjamin Moore teams up with fashion designers

2/20/2018

Benjamin Moore announced the formation of its new partnership with the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA), marking the first time the organization has collaborated with a home decor brand in its efforts to promote design.

“Benjamin Moore and the CFDA will work together to celebrate the aesthetic impact and transformative power of color, one of the most important and essential tools of design,” said Carl Minchew, VP color innovation & design for Benjamin Moore. “There are many synergies between our two worlds and with the help of the CFDA, we will bring together the architectural design and fashion communities to advance our trade and encourage entrepreneurship in this industry.”

What will this unconventional partnership entail, exactly?

To start with, Benjamin Moore will give away its first-ever CFDA Trailblazer Award at the HUE Awards in New York City, this year going to California-based fashion designer Trina Turk.

The HUE Awards (an event dedicated to color in architectural design) has been a Benjamin Moore mainstay since 2008.
