Behr launches pro initiative

Behr Paint, a subsidiary of Masco, has announced a new initiative to grab more market share among professional painters. The Santa Ana, Calif., manufacturer’s new “Direct to Pro” program will provide painting contractors with free order delivery to job sites or to their local Home Depot stores in some areas, with order fulfillment in no more than three business days. Minimum orders are 50 gallons.

Factory tinting for accurate and consistent color matching, as well as volume discounted pricing, will also be available through select Home Depots. Contractors should go to Behrpro.com/storelocator to see which services are available in their area.

Behr, which offers several lines of paint, primers and stains aimed at Home Depot’s DIY shoppers, will also station its representatives at the retailer’s Pro Desk to provide advice and assistance. A new Web site, BehrPro.com, has been launched to assist tradespeople with estimating and product selection.
