Beacon Roofing adds two units

Beacon Roofing Supply, one of the nation’s largest distributors of roofing, siding and other exterior building products, has opened two new branches in Albuquerque, N.M., and Oklahoma City that were formerly operated by a distributor of commercial building products. This is Beacon’s first foray into New Mexico.

Company CFO David Grace declined to name the acquired distributor. But he told Home Channel News that Beacon has also absorbed the company’s North Texas commercial roofing and waterproofing sales staff into Beacon’s Shelter Southwest region.

Headquartered in Peabody, Mass., Beacon Roofing Supply ranked 6th, with $1.8 billion in sales, on the Home Channel News Top 350 Pro Dealer Scoreboard in 2009. The company operates 171 branches in 36 states in the United States and three provinces in Eastern Canada.
