Beacon acquires Maine-based distributor
Beacon Roofing Supply has acquired Portland, Maine-based Applicators Sales & Service, a distributor of residential roofing, siding and windows.
“Applicators has an over 50-year history of superior customer service in Maine and New Hampshire and will further strengthen Beacon’s presence in northern New England," said Beacon president and CEO Paul Isabella. "The Koocher and Robinov families have built a great team and I am thrilled to welcome Applicators to Beacon.”
Applicators was founded in 1958 and has remained under family ownership by its original founders, David Koocher and Jerry Robinov, since. It currently maintains four branches in Maine and one in New Hampshire. Its annual sales are approximately $48 milion.
“The Koocher and Robinov families have built a great business and now are pleased to pass the torch to Beacon, which will allow Applicators to continue its long history of excellent customer service, expand its product offering and allow for continued profitable growth," said Applicators president Scott Koocher. "We were presented with many strategic opportunities, but we chose to align with Beacon not only because of its size and reputation in New England and across the industry but because Beacon shares our belief that success comes from hard work and a commitment to your employees and customers. We are very excited about our future with Beacon.”
