Andersen expanding Bayport manufacturing
Andersen Corp., the maker of Andersen windows and doors, is expanding its manufacturing capabilities.
The company Is adding a $40 million window extrusion factory at its flagship Bayport, Minn. campus with construction breaking ground this week.
The manufacturer says expansion is necessary to meet growing customer demand for its products. Plans call for 60,000 square feet of additional space to be added on to an existing warehouse.
About $45 million was spent by the company when it expanded its North Branch and Cottage Grove factories in recent years.
Andersen’s new factory is expected to open in 2019 and will focus on the production of its Fibrex composite window materials, according to a report in the Star Tribune.
