American Standard Brands hires VP marketing
Piscataway, N.J.-based American Standard Brands announced that John Gillespie has joined the company as VP marketing for the company's trade division.
"John brings a wealth of strategic business experience in professional trade marketing, wholesale distribution, as well as consumer marketing," said Jay Gould, president and CEO of American Standard Brands. "John will lead the domestic trade marketing team with the focus of bringing innovation and new integrated selling plans to American Standard's U.S. wholesale business."
Gillespie comes to American Standard after nearly seven years with Ferguson Enterprises as its director of corporate marketing. Ferguson is the largest wholesale distributor of residential and commercial plumbing supplies and pipe, valves and fittings in the United States.
Prior to joining Ferguson, Gillespie culminated a 25-year career with Anheuser-Busch from 1980 to 2006, where he held roles of increasing responsibility within its sales and marketing divisions, most recently serving as a VP marketing. Gillespie has extensive experience in brand development, market penetration and emerging market development in business-to-business and business-to-consumer organizations in a wide variety of industries.

Gillespie received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Christopher Newport University in Virginia.
