Alpha ProTech launches new flashing product
Alpha ProTech, the manufacturer of the REX branded products of housewraps and synthetic roof underlayment’s, is rolling out Rextreme Window & Door Flashing.
The product features a non-asphaltic, butyl blend that can be applied in extreme cold and wet conditions with super holding power. Rextreme is also safe around any vinyl clad windows. Additionally, it self-seals from any penetrations and comes in multiple widths. The release film is split back on the 6”, 9” and 12” wide products. Each roll is individually wrapped and labeled for easy display in any retail environment.
The product is promoted as one that will save significant time and expense as opposed to asphaltic flashings, because of its quick adhesion power and no need for primers.
“This new and exciting window and door flashing, Rextreme, rounds out our sidewall weatherization package,” said Bruce Hayden, senior VP of sales – building products. “With the full system available we now have completed our Lifetime Product & Labor warranty on our premium line of REX Fortis Low Perm and High Perm weather resistant barriers with drainage.”
Hayden also said, “Not only does this complete the high end line, but we are pleased to state as a system, we now offer a 25 Year Product & Labor Warranty on our REX Wrap Plus as well as REX Wrap weather resistive barriers."
