Allura, UFP expand Western distribution
Allura, the Houston, Texas-based fiber cement building products manufacturer, is expanding its distribution network through a partnership with Universal Forest Products, Inc. (UFPI).
Following increased demand for its siding and trim products, Allura said it is adding two UFPI affiliates to its network, including UFP Chandler, LLC in Arizona and UFP Riverside in Southern California.
Allura CEO Bob Musselman said the company chose the UFP companies because of their strong relationships with independent lumber dealers in the region that will give Allura the footprint it needs to better serve the area's building communities.
"We are excited to become the supplier for Allura siding in the Arizona and Southern California markets,” said Joe McGuire, vice president of Universal's Far West region, “We are the leading supplier in the siding and trim categories today and Allura is a great fit because it aligns with many of the market segments we supply and because of the many synergies between our companies."
Allura is part of Elementia, an international building materials manufacturer with cement, building systems, and metals divisions in 9 countries throughout the Americas.
Headquartered in Grand Rapids, Mich., UFPI is a holding company with affiliates serving the retail, construction and industrial markets.
