Ace, True Value land on customer service list

Ace Hardware ranked 10th on the recent BusinessWeek list of top 25 "Customer Service Champs." True Value also appeared on the list, in the 23 spot.

Amazon.com ranked first on the list, which looked at results from J.D. Power & Associates surveys on customer satisfaction, plus a BusinessWeek Market Advisory Board panel of 5,000 people. Key criteria were quality of staff and efficiency of service.

No other home improvement companies appear among the magazine's 25 Customer Service Champs. Other retailers, however, did make the list: Publix Super Markets, 6th; Nordstrom, 13th; Trader Joe's, 18th; and L.L. Bean, 24th.
