84 Lumber says 'bring it'
In a new video produced by 84 Lumber, the pro dealer provides some insight into where the company stood in 2019 and its plans for 2020.
“Things are good, very good right now. 84 is in the most solid position in the industry,” 84 Lumber President Maggie Hardy Knox says in the video.
“I think it’s time now that we catapult the industry and truly become number one,” she adds.
“It’s not because I’m looking to the biggest, I just want to be the best.”
Detroit, Mich., Oklahoma City, Okla., Boise, Idaho; and Stockton and Riverside, Calif. are revealed as future sites in 2020 for the pro dealer, which is part of the company’s move toward western expansion.
The YouTube post, uploaded on Dec. 30, 2019, also highlights some of 84 Lumber’s offerings, including distribution, manufacturing, builder services and use of technology.
“We out-work, out-think, out-sweat, outperform anyone, everyone,” the video’s narrator says. “Where do we go? We go big.”
84 Lumber’s charitable work is spotlighted too, including $500,000 in donations to the Fisher House Foundation, supporting local Boy Scouts programs for 30 years, and working with hospitals, schools, and veteran organizations.
The video concludes with an industry challenge: “We’re headed straight for a new decade. Bring it.”
Representatives from 84 Lumber told HBSDealer that more expansion news will be revealed later this month.
