84 Lumber redraws the map
A structural move designed to build on momentum and facilitate strategic growth
84 Lumber is reorganizing into four targeted divisions: Central, Mid-Atlantic, Southeast and Southwest. This new alignment will allow 84 Lumber to be well-positioned to accommodate its expansion nationwide, the company said.
“This is an exciting time for our company,” said Frank Cicero, COO at 84 Lumber. “As we look forward in 2017 we see great opportunities across the organization. It’s critical to have the right team and the right resources in the right places. With this new divisional reorganization, 84 Lumber is poised for strategic growth.”
In the new corporate structure, the Central division is the largest, with nearly 90 stores throughout Pennsylvania, Ohio, Virginia, West Virginia and New York. The company is based in Eighty Four, Pa.
The move comes as the company points to strong momentum in the first quarter, which included a Super Bowl commercial, an employee recruitment campaign and multiple store openings. The company’s human resources department has also been active. Recent hires include Paul Yater as chief information officer. Recent promotions include David Cochran to VP of store operations, Jason Hinsken to VP of installed sales, Jim Barbes to VP of national sales and the appointment of divisional VPs Billy Ball (Southeast), Rob Woodrow (Southwest) and Dave Dahl (Mid-Atlantic).
