IBP acquires Royals Commercial Services
Installed Building Products (IBP) continues to escalate through a pipeline of acquisitions.
In its latest move, the Columbus, Ohio-based installation and builder services provider announced that it has acquired Royals Commercial Services.
Based in Millersville, Md., Royals provides spray foam insulation and thermal barrier installation services primarily for commercial customers throughout Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Delaware, and New Jersey. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
“With approximately $10 million of annual revenue, Royals Commercial expands our presence in the greater Baltimore and mid-Atlantic markets,” said Jeff Edwards, chairman and CEO of IBP. “The commercial installation market is large and fragmented and is an important focus of our growth strategy”
Commercial end markets represented about 18% of IBP’s total 2019 revenue. “We believe we are well-positioned to increase our exposure within this compelling market through organic and acquisition growth opportunities,” Edwards said.
IBP recently reported fourth quarter 2019 sales increased 13.6% to $401.2 million while its full-year sales rose more than 13% to $1.51 billion.
Edwards also noted that IBP has acquired a Chicago-based shower, shelving and mirror installer with annual revenue of nearly $1.1 million.
IBP operates 180 locations and is one of the nation’s largest new residential insulation installers.
The company also provides builder and residential installation services including waterproofing, fire-stopping, fireproofing, garage doors, rain gutters, window blinds, shower doors, closet shelving and mirrors.
