Poll question: From starts to sales
The pace of single-family housing starts – widely considered the bread and butter of the hardware and lumber yard industry -- rose a healthy 6.2% in the latest residential construction tally from the U.S. Census Bureau.
(The bad news: single-family starts were down 4.3% compared to April of 2018.)
It’s fair to say that rising housing starts are good for everyone in the industry – but they’re better for some than others. The latest HBSDealer poll question examines to what extent the above is statement is true.
The current poll question reads: “What’s the relationship between growth in housing starts and growth in your company’s sales?”
