A new CFO at RONA
RONA, one of Canada’s leading home improvement retailers, has a new chief financial officer: Sylvain Girard.
The RONA network operates or services some 425 corporate and affiliated dealer stores under the RONA+, RONA, Réno-Dépôt, and Dick’s Lumber banners.
“Sylvain is a seasoned leader with an exceptional track record in developing business strategies that deliver results and profitable growth. He also has good knowledge of the construction and materials industries. Sylvain has over 30 years of experience in financial services management for major corporations, both nationally and internationally. He spent some twenty years with General Electric Company, in roles of increasing responsibility, before joining Atkins-Réalis (formerly SNC-Lavalin), where he held various positions, including Executive Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer. Most recently, Sylvain held the position of Senior Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer at Resolute Forest Products.
Sylvain will work at the Boucherville head office alongside his colleagues on the Executive Leadership Team, where he will lead the finance teams.
