The manufacturer says that tabless cells improve power delivery by creating a more efficient energy transfer leading to the better power, size, and weight ratio.

The company further claims: “Advanced intelligent electronics communicate directly with the tool to optimize performance in high-demand applications when paired with brushless tools. Pair this battery with an 18V Turbo Charger to achieve an 80% charge in just 15 mins. ThermaGuard technology allows laser welded cell straps and upgraded heat sinks to run cooler and live longer through the most demanding applications maximizing overall battery life.”

The product —made available as a Home Depot exclusive in September 2024—carries a price tag of about $140.
