A need for Speed at Northern Tool
Northern Tool + Equipment said it plans to ride with the Sons of Speed Vintage Motorcycle Racing through an integrated partnership.
The announcement comes in advance of Sons of Speed, Powered By Northern Tool + Equipment as it readies for its Oct. 15 race in New Smyrna Speedway at New Smyrna Beach, Fla.
The October race will feature riders all racing on pre-1950s motorcycles that are each expertly modified via customization to handlebars, exhaust, fenders, fuel and oil tanks, and more.
And there’s a big catch: the vintage bikes don’t have brakes.
“Our customers are wired with curiosity and skill to continue to perfect their craft and tailor their projects, be it building, welding or customizing motorcycles,” said Suresh Krishna, president and CEO of Northern Tool + Equipment. “There is a tremendous community of motorcycle enthusiasts and this relationship with Sons of Speed is a great way for our company to connect and be seen as a go-to resource.
