The Nation's Best team presents a $260,000 check to Frani Broussard Denenburg, founder of Arrivederci ALD.
Nation’s Best Holdings announced its inaugural golf tournament raised $260,000 to support the mission of Arrivederci ALD and find a cure for the debilitating disease.
ALD, or adrenoleukodystrophy, is a rare genetic condition that can cause severe disability and even death. Frani Broussard Denenburg started the non-profit Arrivederci ALD after she and five of her immediate family members were diagnosed with ALD in 2018.
They are dedicated to finding a cure for ALD by raising funds to support ongoing research by Harvard and Stanford physicians.
Nation’s Best began its partnership with Arrivederci ALD in 2021 when the home improvement retailer began offering its customers the opportunity to “round up” their purchase to the nearest whole dollar.
The inaugural Golf Tournament was held on Oct. 12 at the Cowboys Golf Course in Dallas and hosted more than 140 golfers representing vendor partners, customers, and associates.
Following the tournament, Frani Broussard Denenburg, Dr. Florian Eichler, Massachusetts General Hospital, and Dr. Keith van Haren, Stanford Children’s Health, each spoke to the group to raise awareness about ALD. Nation’s Best concluded the evening by presenting Arrivederci ALD a check for $260,000 representing money raised from the round-up initiative and golf outing.
