East Texas Hardware joins a growing list of Nation's Best companies in the Lone Star State.
Nation’s Best, the rapidly growing home improvement and LBM company, has acquired East Texas Hardware.
The acquisition marks the company’s second location in Kilgore, Texas in addition to other hardware and lumberyard locations in the Lone Star State. Nation’s Best is based in Dallas. The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
According to Matt Lambert, regional vice president of Nation’s Best’s South-Central Region, the acquisition of Kilgore strengthens the company’s position in the area and the state.
“Owners Jimi and Tamara Mankins have built a formidable business, with nearly two decades of experience serving the Kilgore community,” Lambert said. “We are excited by the opportunities to leverage their know-how and grow the business even more.”
When the Mankins were looking to transition their business, they found Nation’s Best was well-aligned to not only honor their legacy but equally well-positioned to invest in the store for continued growth, Nation’s Best said.
“We’ve put our heart and soul into serving our friends and neighbors since 2005. Knowing that Nation’s Best would secure the future of East Texas Hardware and its staff was very important to us,” the Mankins shared in a statement issued by Nation’s Best. “Years ago, Jimi used to work at nearby East Texas Lumber, another Nation’s Best-owned business, so we feel things are coming full circle.”
