Metabo HPT announced the launch of a new 12” Dual Compound Miter Saw featuring the Xact Cut LED Shadow Line System.

For even more cutting accuracy the Xact Cut shadow line system uses an LED light to cast a shadow exactly where the blade will cut and never needs adjustment, the firm noted.

“It’s easy to see in the shade and partial sun and works better than a laser line in bright settings,” said Metabo HPT.

“This miter saw is powered by a 15-Amp, gear drive motor that delivers best in class 4,300 RPM no-load speed to quickly cut through hardwoods saving time and blade wear,” the company wrote.

Extra tall dual sliding fences accommodate a 7-inch piece of baseboard standing vertical and up to a 7-1/2-inch molding vertically nested against the fence.

It can cut through a 4”x4” with one pass; a testament to its ability to cut larger stock suitable for a range of applications like decking and installing crown molding, the firm added.

With miter ranges from 0-52° right and left and bevel ranges 0-48° to the right and left, this 12” miter saw offers a broader range of cuts.

User friendly miter angles can be quickly adjusted using thumb actuated detent stops at 0°, 15°, 22.5°, 31.6° and 45°. The bevel angle range easily adjusts to preset detent stops at 0°, 33.9° and 45° for convenience, the company noted.

This miter saw offers a powerful motor for faster cuts and extreme vertical cut capacity for extra versatility on the job, it added.
