Beisswenger’s Hardware and Power Equipment
This hardware business and STIHL dealer recently celebrated 100 years. The Beisswenger family has played an integral role in their local community, settling in New Brighton before it was officially proclaimed as a city. Jacob and Caroline Beisswenger were one of five families that moved into the area. Since 1919, Beisswenger’s Hardware has strived to be the best hometown hardware store. The family saying is: “If we don’t have it, you don’t need it.”

Cleveland Ace
An elderly customer wanted to buy a new shovel for a tough job. Sam, the young store associate at Cleveland Ace Hardware asked about the type of job. Milton revealed it was to bury his beloved German shepherd, Boe. But it was hot and humid. “I’m going to help bury your dog,” Sam said. “I’ll meet you at your home after work and we’ll get it done.” And they did. Owner Allen Towles said, “when a customer walks in the door we are there for you, and more. We go above and beyond, just like Sam did.”
