McCoy’s Building Supply announced that it has promoted Brandon Bishop to the position of director of merchandising - commodities.
Bishop began his McCoy’s career in 2008 working in the lumberyard at the company’s Stephenville, Texas location. He went on to become an assistant manager before moving to headquarters in San Marcos and joining the merchandising department.
He has held various roles in merchandising including forest products buyer, commodity and Freight manager, and commodity program manager.
“I’m excited about developing deeper relationships with other key leaders within McCoy’s and throughout our industry in my new role,” said Bishop. “I believe our industry is built on strong relationships that come from constantly learning and moving forward.”
McCoy’s said that its merchandising department strives to efficiently provide stores with quality products that its customers need.
“We have so many talented people in merchandising who work collaboratively with our operations team by selecting the best products, cultivating relationships with trusted suppliers, and negotiating competitive pricing for each of the categories that we manage,” said Bishop. “Merchandising is constantly evaluating these factors for each product line to maintain our best in class service to our customers.”
The pro dealer and farm and ranch retailer operates 88 stores, 3 distribution facilities, and 2 millwork facilities in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Mississippi, and New Mexico.
