Masco's plumbing product sales were up 9% in the first quarter.
Masco, the home improvement and building products manufacturing giant, reported first quarter 2022 sales increased 12% to $2.20 billion from first quarter 2021 sales of $1.97 billion.
Sales in North America increased 14% while international sales increased 12% for the quarter.
Plumbing product sales increased 9% for the period as decorative architectural product sales jumped 17%.
Masco also posted a net income attributable to the company of $233 million, soaring from an income of $94 million for the same period a year ago.
“We are off to a strong start in 2022,” said Masco President and CEO Keith Allman. “Demand for our products remains healthy, and we are executing well to offset ongoing inflation while still driving volume growth.”
Based in Livonia, Mich., Masco’s brands include Behr paint; Delta and Hansgrohe faucets, bath and shower fixtures; Kichler decorative and outdoor lighting; and HotSpring spas.
