The 6-inch pruning saw features a Makita-built brushless motor that delivers optimum cutting performance.
Makita U.S.A., Inc., has released the new 18V LXT 6-inch pruning saw (XCU14) which is adding to the expanding line of both XGT and LXT cordless outdoor power equipment. It is an ideal option for light limb cutting and pruning applications.
“The pruning saw bridges the gap between a traditional manual hand tool like pruners or lopping shears, and something bigger like a top-handle chain saw,” said Tyler Brown, associate product manager for lifestyle and expansion at Makita.
The saw features a Makita-built brushless motor that delivers optimum cutting performance. It features “tool-free” chain adjustment for convenient operation and maintenance as well as a retractable guard for convenient operation and maintenance.
The XCU14 can perform up to 140 cuts in 2-inch cedar with one fully charged 18V battery.
It has a soft grip handle that is engineered for the user to more easily apply even cutting pressure. It is lightweight at only 3.7 pounds with a battery for reduced operator fatigue.
