Makita cordless chain saw

Makita introduces the 40V max XGT brushless, cordless 18-inch chain saw (GCU04T1).

With zero emissions, lower noise, and considerably less maintenance, the GCU04T1 is a welcome solution for cutting and trimming applications, said the company.

“It’s powered by one 40V XGT battery for power and longer run time, and with the efficient Makita-built brushless motor users get high power efficiency that is equivalent to a 42cc gas chain saw,” said the firm.

The chain saw has Extreme Protection Technology (XPT) engineered for improved dust and water resistance. Captured bar nuts retained in sprocket cover for convenient setup and maintenance.

The kit comes with one 40V max XGT lithium-ion 5.0Ah battery, rapid charger, 18-inch guide bar, and 18-inch saw chain.

Variable speed trigger and high chain speed (0-5,020 FPM) improve cutting performance and there’s an adjustable automatic chain lubrication with large oil reservoir.
