L&W Supply grows in Michigan

L&W Supply has opened a new location in Portage, Michigan.

The opening marks L&W Supply’s seventh location in the state. Overall, the company operates more than 250 branches in 42 states. 

The new Portage branch is being managed by Jeffrey Pettit who joined L&W Supply in 2004.

Petit has held various positions at the building products distributor, including warehouse manager, inside sales associate, and delivery services manager. Prior to his current role, he was branch manager at the Saginaw, Michigan, location.

“By opening this new location, we are reinforcing our commitment to best-in-industry service throughout western Michigan and northern Indiana,” said Great Lakes District Manager Tracy Hein. “The new Portage branch will be a central support hub for customers in Grand Rapids, Jackson, Kalamazoo and South Bend. We look forward to seeing Jeff and his team bring exceptional products and service to the area’s contractors.”

As branch manager, Pettit will be responsible for managing daily branch operations, cultivating customer relationships, guiding associates and executing branch growth and profitability, L&W Supply said.

Based in Chicago, L&W Supply distributes wallboard, suspended ceiling systems, steel studs, joint treatment, insulation, fasteners and related building products. 

The company is a subsidiary of ABC Supply Co., Inc. with over 970 locations across the U.S. and Canada.
