L&W Supply announces branch manager promotions
The Chicago distributor has named six new managers.
L&W Supply operates more than 200 locations.
L&W Supply has announced a series branch management promotions.
Branch managers of the Chicago-based building products distributor are responsible for managing daily branch operations, cultivating customer relationships, guiding associates, and executing branch growth and profitability.
- Mike Packer has been named branch manager of its Fayetteville, North Carolina, location. Packer joined L&W Supply in 2021 as an outside sales representative. He brings over two decades of industry experience in construction distribution to the team.
“As a life-long resident of Fayetteville, Mike’s knowledge of the market will be invaluable to the success of his new team,” says District Manager; Dan Hinkle. “We look forward to seeing him and his team continue to provide exceptional service to Fayetteville-area contractors.”
- Ken Wong has been named branch manager of its San Francisco, California, location. Wong joined L&W Supply in 2013 at the San Francisco location, bringing over 12 years of industry knowledge to the team. Wong has held many roles at the company, including branch supervisor and region operations manager.
“Ken’s local experience and in-depth knowledge make him a great fit for the San Francisco market,” said Northern California and Nevada District Manager; Dave Hovekamp. “We are excited to have him as part of the Northern California team.”
- Arely Polanco has been named branch manager of its West Palm Beach, Florida, location. Polanco joined L&W Supply six years ago as an inside sales associate in Miami, Florida. Shortly after, she was promoted to outside sales in 2018 before transferring to the greenfield branch in West Palm Beach. In 2022, Polanco was a recipient of the Florida Atlantic District Top Outside Sales award.
“Arely’s résumé is impressive, but what sticks out to us is how her drive motivates those around her,” said Florida Atlantic District Manager Mitchell Mathews. “We look forward to seeing her competitive spirit elevate the associates and customers of West Palm Beach.”
- Christian Daniels has been named as branch manager of the company’s greenfield location in Roscoe, Illinois. Daniels joined L&W Supply’s internal audit team in 2019. He became an inside sales associate at the West Allis, Wisconsin, location in 2022.
“Christian’s competitive nature and deep understanding of the unique processes, which separate L&W Supply from our competition make him a great fit for this role,” said Upper Midwest District Manager Mark Woodsum. “I am excited to welcome him back to his home market as he supports our continued growth and customer service efforts.”
- Richard Brown has been named branch manager of its Chattanooga, Tennessee, location. Brown joined L&W Supply in 1996 as an operations supervisor and later transitioned to outside sales in 2017. He is currently attending L&W’s Branch Manager Training Program and will graduate in August.
“Richard’s leadership, work ethic, and vast experience in sales and operations will enhance our market-leading customer service in the Chattanooga market,” said Brian Murphy, Mid-South District manager.
- Ron Shillingburg has been named branch manager of its Fishersville, Virginia, location. Shillingburg, a 25-year industry professional, joined L&W Supply in 2017. He has gained experience at the company as a CDL driver and boom operator. He was most recently a Delivery Service Manager in Manassas, Virginia.
“Ron has an incredible growth mindset and passion for service,” said Chesapeake District Manager Jim Nix. “His dedication to our values and goals makes him a perfect fit for this role.”
L&W Supply is one of the nation’s largest distributors of wallboard, suspended ceiling systems, steel studs, joint treatment, insulation, fasteners, and related building products. L&W Supply was acquired by ABC Supply in November 2016.
L&W Supply operates over 250 branches in 42 states.
