Throwback Thursday: From the 2006 Pro Dealer Conference

Ten years ago, the Oct. 16, 2006 issue of Home Channel News, the forerunner of HBSDealer, featured highlights from the Pro Dealer Conference, the forerunner of the Pro Dealer Industry Summit – slated for Kansas City, Oct. 4-6.

Among those highlights: a group shot of the 2006 Pro Dealer of the Year, Pro-Build Holdings. The honoree was hot news in the industry, representing the combination of LBM distribution powerhouses Lanoga and Strober, among others.

As the biggest player in the industry, ProBuild generated headlines for years. And following a major downsizing, the LBM dealer was acquired by Builders FirstSource on Aug. 3, 2015.
