Steve Hill named president of ThermaCELL Repellents

Former Black Flag Brands president Steve Hill has been named president of Bedford, Mass.-based ThermaCELL Mosquito Repellents, a subsidiary of the Schawbel Corporation.

“We have grown ThermaCELL into the go-to solution for outdoor enthusiasts, and with Steve’s business building expertise, consumers everywhere will know the comfort of our bug-free zone,” said Bill Schawbel, chairman of the Schawbel Corporation. “We are proud to have an experienced consumer products leader who has a long track record of growing insect control businesses.”

Hill has racked up four decades in insect control and consumer products. At Black Flag, his eight-year tenure saw a compound annual growth rate of 27%. Prior to his role there, he worked for The Scotts Company, where he was closely involved with the acquisition of the Ortho and Roundup brands.
