Royal Building Products gets its hands dirty with Habitat for Humanity

2/20/2018

Habitat for Humanity's Home Builders Blitz is pulling in volunteers from industry professionals in 35 states. Among them is Royal Building Products, which is coming on board as a sponsor of the initiative to build, renovate and repair more than 250 homes across the country.

As part of its patronage of the Blitz, Royal Building Products is donating its Royal Woodland siding for 49 homes. The homeowners in question will have a say in the color and profile of siding, which will be supplied by Royal's distribution partners.

“Royal Building Products has a long history supporting the communities where we operate,” said Simon Bates, VP and general manager of Exteriors, Trim and Distribution. “We are proud to participate in Habitat’s Home Builders Blitz to contribute high-quality, durable and sustainable siding that will minimize the time and expense these families will need to spend maintaining the exterior of their homes.”

The Blitz was first launched in 2006 and is credited with building and/or repairing over 1,000 homes. Steve Thomas (the former host of This Old House and Renovation Nation, as well as co-founder of the event) will be traveling to various work sites to help promote the event and raise awareness of the many ways in which building professionals are addressing housing needs across the nation.
