REPORT: Dealers merge in Alaska
Don Abel Building Supply, a pro dealer in Juneau, Alaska, has acquired cross-town rival Valley Lumber and Building Supply.
The deal was finalized last month, according to a report by the Juneau Empire newspaper.
Don Abel is a third-generation business established in Juneau more than 70 years ago while Valley Lumber has had a run of more than 50 years in Alaska.
Although both businesses operate in Juneau, the dealers indicate that it would be “business as usual,” according to the report.
In addition to offering a full line of building materials to residential builders, commercial contractors, and DIYers, Don Abel Building Supply also maintains a lawn and garden center along with a tool and equipment rental business.
