Pat Thorne Lumber Co. honored by HCN

Pat Thorne Lumber Co. of Chillicothe, Mo., will receive the 2013 Independent Pro Dealer of the Year award during the upcoming ProDealer Industry Summit in Nashville, Tenn.

The Oct. 23-25 summit is sponsored jointly by HCN and the National Lumber and Building Material Dealers Association (NLBMDA). 

The three-unit Pat Thorne Lumber, co-owned by Pat and Susan Thorne, is a member of the Mid-America Lumbermens Association, of which Pat Thorne is a past president. 

The title of “Independent Pro Dealer of the Year” is awarded by HCN to a small, independent pro dealer that reflects the values of the lumber industry -- customer service, community involvement and business best practices.

“We consider it an honor to be recognized and most of the credit goes to our staff, our customers and also our vendors,” said Pat Thorne. “We’ve been very, very fortunate to have such a great staff of professionals.”

A member of the Do it Best Corp. co-op, Pat Thorne Lumber operates three pro-focused Missouri units in Chillicothe, Plattsburg and Cameron.

Also during the 2013 ProDealer Industry Summit, HCN will recognize Green Bay, Wis.-based US LBM Holdings as national “Pro Dealer of the Year.”
