NLMBDA seeks health care stories
For businesses: the three scariest words in the political spectrum might very well be: health care costs.
The National Lumber and Building Material Dealers Association is seeking stories from the front lines. The idea is to strengthen the case to lawmakers in Washington, D.C., that action and relief are needed.
According to the NLBMDA,, dealers ranked health care as the top issue affecting their business operations in a survey of NLBMDA members last year.
According to a recent Kaiser Family Foundation survey, in 2015 average annual premiums for employer-sponsored health insurance were $6,251 for single coverage, of which employers on average paid $5,180. The average premium was $17,545 for family coverage, with employers on average contributing $12,590.
Dealers can share their health care story here: The NLBMDA asks for stories to be submitted by March 18.
