New owner for Spokane dealer

Hillsboro, Oregon-based Parr Lumber acquired single-unit Country Homes Building Supply in Spokane, Washington, expanding Parr’s Spokane footprint to two locations.

Both Parr Lumber and Country Homes Supply are family-owned Northwest companies and combined have been serving their communities for more than 155 years. Country Home Building Supply was founded in 1947, Parr in 1930.

“Our two companies have enjoyed a mutual respect for one another, sharing the same values and dedication to our customers,” said Doug Wirges, CEO of Parr Lumber, which operated 33 facilities in Oregon, Washington and Arizona. “We look forward to working with the CHS team and continuing the tradition of exemplary service customers have come to expect.”



The look of the store may change, but some things will stay the same – the product mix, the services and “the familiar faces of the CHS team members,” according to the announcement of the acquisition.

Parr is planning a customer and community event in the spring to celebrate their newest location.

The Parr Company consists of six distinct companies that provide building solutions and services: Parr Lumber Company, Parr Cabinet Design Center, Cascade Wholesale Hardware, NSC, NSCi, and Parr Marketing Group.
