Mead Lumber grows in Iowa

Following up on a plan to expand in Iowa, Columbus, Neb.-based Mead Lumber agreed to acquire H.L. Munn Lumber in Ames, Iowa.

Founded in 1891, H.L. Munn Lumber is a full-service lumber and building materials supplier serving professional builders and commercial contractors in the greater Ames and Des Moines markets.

“We are thrilled to join the Mead Lumber team,” said Erik Munn, owner and president of H.L. Munn. “Mead shares our work ethic and values, our dedication to great customer service, and our commitment to employee development.”

The business will continue to operate under the name H.L. Munn Lumber. Erik Munn and his management team will continue to lead day-to- day operations.
