LG's HVAC products rack up Energy Star points

LG is highlighting 14 of its duct-free air conditioners that have earned the Energy Star "Most Efficient" 2014 designation.

Five of those 14 hail from the LG "Art Cool" duct-free split series, which brings design-minded appeal together with energy-efficient features.

"LG has made a strong commitment to energy efficiency as a core business principle across the company," said VP commercial air conditioning Kevin McNamara. "The number of Art Cool and Inverter systems designated as Energy Star Most Efficient has close to doubled from 2012. With LG, it's all possible. Our customers don't have to sacrifice energy efficiency for performance and style. Expanding the number of Energy Star Most Efficient HVAC models represents another important step in LG's quest to provide consumers highly efficient, greener products."

Those earning the Most Efficient designation include Art Cool models LAU/LAN090HSV2, LAU/LAN120HSV2, LAU/LAN180HSV2, LAU/LAN090HYV, LAU/LAN120HYV and High Efficiency Inverter models LSU/LSN091HSV2,LSU/LSN091HSV3, LSU/LSN121HSV2, LSU/LSN121HSV3 LSU/LSN181HSV2, LSU/LSN181HSV3, LSU/LSN240HSV3,LSU/LSN090HYV and LSU/LSN120HYV.

Last year, the company earned the Most Efficient designation for nearly 80 of its HDTVs, refrigerators and washing machines. LG was named Energy Star Partner of the Year in 2012 and 2013.
