Kleer Lumber receives green certification
Kleer Lumber, a maker of cellular PVC trim products for residential construction, is now eligible to receive points under the National Green Building Standard Certification system administered by the NAHB Research Center.
The products qualify under “Termite-resistant materials are used in portions of the building” and “Building materials/assemblies do not require additional site applied material for finishing.” Kleer’s trimboard is manufactured from cellular PVC to look and feel like painted wood but is highly resistant to termites; therefore, it can be installed in direct contact with the ground, according to the manufacturer.
Headquartered in Westfield, Mass., Kleer’s flagship product, Kleer’s trimboard, features pre-consumer recycled content certification from Scientific Certification Systems (SCS). Kleer Lumber also offers PVC decking, moldings, sheets and accessories, including adhesives and fasteners.
